quick release mounts for multiple supports

Ok I need help on something... I just picked up a new Steady Stick to help with some fatigue that I've been experiencing on my most recent shoots. The unit is great and I've already found that it's a quasi-monopod and I can even use it for tracking shots like a steady-cam.

Either way the real question is this, my tripods (not expensive just 60 dollar Target jobs), have a quick release type plate on them which I tend to keep on my cam.

Can anyone guide me into a quick release that I can use between the Steady Stick and my tripods? I've looked it over and for the life of me can't figure out a way to do this, but it's something that would make sense and is almost essential.

Any ideas?

Bogen/Manfrotto makes at least two versions of quick release plates. Go to B&H Photo to find them. Caution: they may cost as much or more than your tripod.

hey ken thanks,

Oh, one comment, thanks for stressing shooting at full manual, although I was aprehensive, I just looked over the footage of the last wedding that I shot and it was nothing short of spectacular!

Taking the cameras logic out of the picture and just using common sense on when to add light and when to gain up and not using more than 6db of gain etc, really made for a perfect production.

thanks for all that you add to these forums!

Miguel
