Indicam for Glidecam

Hi gang,

I got an e-mail last week about what I think is a new product for a Glidecam hand-held. Has anyone else heard about http://www.indicam.com/? No price listed. The video is either broken or I cannot find the codec.

The video doesnt seem to broken, I was able to watch it. Unfortunately no footage FROM the camera. Only a brief shot of a small child running with the indicam on.

Video works at home, so just a missing codec. I found the price too. It looks reasonable and might work well. I see the site owner joined the forum a few days ago.

How convenient (guy joining the site)

I cant play the thing so I cant criticise :( :P

I got email reply from Gildecam saying that the v10 would b compatible with the pro series.

I'm guessing that this is a totally independent piece of kit.

Would be interesting to see the results though.

It looks pretty good, and it's a smart idea since I have oft heard the sore wrist woes with a heavier camera on a Glidecam. The real trick is, does the arm provide as much isolation as the operator's own arm? I suppose that for the added comfort, a little bounciness may be acceptable.

Richard,

That's not entirely correct. The V-10 will be its own animal...a dual segment arm with a new vest a sled, this will be the much needed upgrade to the V-8.

The pro series will continue on as it is currently. For those products we're developing a seperate, lighter weight single arm system specifically tuned to be used with the 2000/4000 pro.

Stay tuned!

Sounds like something to look forward too. I'll be watching out for the the V10.

Any news on a possible release date at all?

Casey Visco August 18th, 2004 03:09 PM

Richard:

No official release dates yet. I'll keep everybody posted as we figure that out though!
