CS3 Audio sync at DVinfo.net

I import a piece of HDV footage (720/30p) taken with the JVC HD100 and without editing or touching the clip other than dropping it onto the timeline, it is out of sync.

I opened the file in Vegas, no problem at all. I played the file back with Nero Showtime and Windows Media Player, no problem at all.

What the heck is Premiere doing to balls this up?

It's an .mt2 file (mpeg2) native straight from the camera to hard disk.
