New to premiere

So late last night I decided to make the switch to Premiere from Vegas. The decision came not because I had problems with Vegas, but because of all of the Adobe products I use it just seem like a natural fit. I was working with a small 3 minute project in Vegas and decided to start over in Premiere. I downloaded the 30 day trial and so far like what I see. What I have figured out so far it seems like it will be a more logical move once I learn it a little bit more.

In the short time I have played with it though I realize that this will be a program that I will really need to look at tutorials. I have found a couple of spots on the web, but am looking for some more. It seems that with the adobe website (and bridge) and then this site would be some good spots for tutorials..am I missing anything else? Is there any other recommendations I could be missing?

Try lynda.com. They have tons of tutorials also. Most you have to pay for, but there are also quite a few free ones not only for Premiere, but most applications. Good luck and welcome to the Premiere family..

Hi Randy. Lynda.com is a good bet, there is also vtc.com. I think both offer introductory tutorials that you can watch before you have to start paying for them. VTC is really great, but see how you like the tutorials for Premiere. I watched some Photoshop ones and Carrara one that were really good, but I didn't like the Premiere Pro ones as much (different guy).

On YouTube there are some good ones. I'm going to include a link, and check out the rest of this guys tutorials, he's getting really great reviews, and they're free :)

Thanks for the tips. I have found of one of Lynda.coms tutorials via bridge and found it pretty good. The other sites like good too, they will help out a lot.

A good place to get started for free :)

I am in the same situation only I am using 2.0 and I have had it for quite a while, any tutorials for me? This would be really useful because I only just discovered how to do the splitscreen thing (yeah I know, I dont know a lot about the software) and I want to see how to do some other "cool" things with Premiere
