I just got my dvd bundle, and man am I broke again.

Question, what is the content DVD? is there a way to install it all, or should i just drop the stuff (fonts, plugin etc) into their proper Adobe folder?

Installing the material on the Content disc is simply a matter of copying the files from the disc to your local hard disk---or leaving the files on the Content disc until you want them.

You can drag and drop the plug-ins to the Plug-ins folder for the appropriate application. You can put stock photos, clip art, and such wherever you like; you may even choose to not install these at all but just pop the Content disc into the drive whenever you want to browse them.

You can just drag and drop the fonts into the usual Fonts folder.

Installing extra fonts BAD?
 

I remember reading somewhere a long time ago, I think Windows 98 erra, that installing extra fonts will slow down your system and you should keep it at a minimum.

I dont know if this still applies but i am still living by this rule. Can anybody confirm that this is true or false?

I can't speak authoritatively, but...

I have just under 4,000 fonts installed on my mid-range laptop running Windows XP with the Adobe CS3 Master Collection. I don't notice any problems because of this. This is just one data point, though.
