Constant Gain or Power

This may be a silly question, but I'm lost over the difference of the audio transitions: Constant Gain and Constant Power.

What's the difference?

Constant gain crossfades between 2 clips at a constant rate (a straight linear transition) whereas constant power results in a curved, smoother transition which is less abrupt. I always use constant power.
