export raw footage?

Good Evening all,
this may be a rudimentary question, but here is the situation.

at times I must work on some projects out of my home, and my editing platform is, well, not made to be an editing platform. Anyhow I use this machine to do a rough edit, and then I use it as reference when at the studio to make the final edit. My question is, is there a way to export my edited footage without compressing it (other than sending back to tape), in the sense that I can then place it into another NLE's timeline?

thanks

-JS

NOTE: I edit on Premier at home, and FCP in the studio.

What kind of footage are we talking about here - HDV transport streams?

I gather you can use Edit Decision Lists EDL's to move between NLE's (never done it myself) - read up on those in the manual and see if they might fit your situation.

That`s wonderful link John, thanks! Recently I have to shift between multiple NLEs and DAWs fairly often, so this comes in handy. CURSE Adobe for not providing a working way to export audio for professional post work from Premiere!
