capture confusion

I have 3 fire wire inputs on my computer. If 2 ports are constantly connected with a deck and an audio board, will the ppcs3 get confused when I open to capture or will I be given the option as to which device I choose to use.

I have yet to purchase the deck and audio board, just doing homework before making any decisions.

Thanks

Good question. I know that Adobe don't support the connection of 1394 drives for capturing. That may indicate that conflicts may arise.

Your configuration is a corner case. That's why no one's responded. I would think that your worst case scenario might be that you'd have to disconnect the deck and mixer when you capture. Shouldn't be a problem having them connected when you're editing.
