Quadro FX 1800 + CS4

Would this be a good GPU for CS4? It do HD editing from the Sonys Z1 so 1440*1080 1.33PAR

My current ATI 1800x is jerky on HD previews and not sure why?

IS there a better better cheaper card to go for?
