ability to audio sych closer than one frame?

I have recorded dual sound and now that I am bringing the sound files into the time line, I can not get the recorders sound in perfect alignment with the cameras guide sound track.

Typically they are always some tiny bit off but enough to not match picture perfectly, IE: if I get the two tracks as close as possible and audition both you can hear an echo proving the slight mismatch.

The files are the exact same, etc, 41k files so it is not a time drift problem.

What I need to be able to do is slip the recorders track without snapping to the next frame of video to achieve this. Does everyone else have this problem or what am I missing?

Kind of new to Premier so that is probably part of the problem.

switch the timeline samples from frames to audio samples. that will give you the ability to align the audio better.
