OnLocation and DSLR - Any Workarounds?

After a rather exhaustive internet search, it appears DSLR's are unable to utilize OnLocation CS5 with our DSLR cameras because of the firewire-only protocol. Has anyone come up with a workaround that would allow us to utilize this program on location for monitoring, metadata tagging, and such?

Any help is appreciated!
