Newby To Adobe Premier Pro - Workflow ?
 

Greetings - as a newby to Adobe Prem Pro/CS5 - I was wondering if some one could give me a quick step by step workflow to get started to do the following :

1. I have a clip of animal in tree - but sky is grayish - and I want to add a blue sky layer for more pleasing affect.

Where do I start first ? Do I eventually get into "After Affects" , etc. ? Any help would be much appreciated !

I have MacPro with 10gb ram, 3ghz dual core, Nvidia 8800 GT

Within PPro are video filters for "Change Color" and "Replace Color"
You can apply the filters and play around with the settings, look up info about them in PPro "Help", and also go to the Adobe TV website and find well done video tutorials that cover a wide variety of topics such as this one.

Good advice from Robert. Other tools that might help would be garbage matts and experimenting with keys, especially perhaps luminance.

As much as I've used the Three Way Color Corrector, I never knew that feature was available :)

It's very well hidden. ;-)

It's more annoying when you discover the feature AFTER you spent ages on a previous project and the new feature, had you known about it, would have been damn handy!

Does anyone else appreciate the irony of a color correction tutorial that itself has bluish skin tones and bad lighting?

Don't get me wrong, Adobe, the tutorials are worth their weight in gold.

Actual it isn't a new feature, it has been there ever since CS3.

Another everyday edit feature that got displaced by Dynamic Link in the marketing message priority list...
