Newbie To CS 5.5/Trifecta

Gents,

I'm new to CS 5.5 so please bear with me.

If I may ask:

1) Why does my footage look fine and as intended when played back on CS 3.2 on the program window as directly compared to its noticeable lack of sharpness when the exact same material viewed in CS 5.5? It doesn't look good at all! What's wrong?

2) What are all of the factors, settings and parameters that will affect sharpness, quality & clarity of the final output such as rendering at the maximum? What needs to be ticked off and activated for hopefully optimal results?

3) Awhile back I invested in Neo Scene. Does it work as intended and is it fully compatible with this version?

The first one especially puzzles me as I have 12 gigs of ram, a CUDA card and a decent HD monitor.

P.S. Yes, I know my former post may look sort of retarded as to whether AVCHD can be imported into CS 3.2 since I already knew V5.5 can import that format fine, however what's the point of using CS 5.5 if the footage looks so soft on the timeline?

Thanks as I need to resolve these key items in the very near future.

1) Check in the program window menu what is your playback resolution and make sure it is set to full

2) If you have any scaling in the project always turn on Maximum quality. If you do color correction, make sure to check maximum bit depth.

3) Yes.
