Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

Yes, I almost missed it and even had the cloud version in my cart.I do think the the cloud has some great merit (especially at $29.99 for the first year) and I would have gone that route had I not stumbled onto the upgrade to 5.5 deal

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

I already had CS 5.5 Production Premium, and pre-ordered today for the CS6 version of Production Premium. I am particularly interested in Prelude.

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

Has anyone else with PAU been able to download CS6 yet? I received an email this morning with my order number and instructions to go to My Orders but was disappointed not to find it in on my account yet. The support person I spoke to got the release dates a bit confused. His reply to me was the product hasn't "shipped" yet so I wouldn't see it in my account. I'm curious if anyone has had their order fulfilled.

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

Mike, what does PAU stand for?

I seem to remember previously (maybe CS5 or so?) that it took 12-24 hours or thereabouts after the official moment of software release for the downloads to actually become available to me. Not sure the technical reason why. Maybe check back a couple times over the next 24 hours and hopefully all will be well as it was for me. If not, please do let us know what you learn as the problem gets worked.

Post Announce Upgrades (PAU). I bought the CS5 to CS5.5 upgrade from Videoguys then filed for the complementary upgrade to CS6. It was approved last Friday and I got the order # reference about an hour after midnight. When I tried logging in to download during the day, the order didn't show under my adobe ID. I just checked now, which is about 23 hours later, no joy yet. Hopefully whatever batch process they have to submit my order to the Adobe website will synch by tomorrow morning.

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

My notification of CS6 upgrade came through this morning, so I went to the Adobe licensing site to upgrade and it was automatically set to send me a dvd, rather than a download. It's a little irritating, but no major problem, as I was led to believe that CS6 upgrades were all to be electronic only. Anyone else experienced this anomaly? I'm upgrading the Master Collection, which might be the reason, though my CS5.5 was a download.

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

I downloaded the Master Collection CS5.5 and it took over 12 hours to download - I am on AOL Premium Broadband service, which is supposed to be up to 25MBps, at the moment I get barely 650kbps. AOL answer to this is that they do say it's anything up to 24MBps. I would be more than happy for any software to be supplied on DVDs

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

Just dealt with Adobe to get Prod Premium CS6. They are going to mail me DVDs when it all goes through. In my case, I have to hand it to Adobe that they actually stepped up with support. I purchased CS5.5 (as a new copy of the studient and teacher edition) a couple days before the upgrade period started. They granted an exception for me and will be giving me the upgrade.

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

Well, further to my last post, a few hours after I ordered my upgrade and was informed that the disk would be sent to me, I found my account had been updated with the full CS6 download and serials. 3 hours and over 6GB downloaded later and I have lots of new tools to enjoy.

Adobe are such a refreshing change from the paranoia of Apple!

Got an official reply from Adobe, seems I may be waiting until the end of the week for some CS6 goodness.

"This email is in response to your request to get the download link for the complimentary copy of Adobe Production Premium software version 6.0.

We apologize for the delay in response to your request and appreciate your patience in this regard. After checking the details that was uploaded, we found that the complimentary copy of CS 6 Production Premium software was approved on 05/04/2012 that was placed with the order # : XXXXXXX. It usually takes 24 - 48 hours for the download order to be processed, as there are huge back logs on the complimentary copy request it may take an additional of 2 business days to get the download link to reflect under your Adobe account. We apologize for the inconvenience caused in this regard.

Please Note : The CS 6 software started shipping only on 7th of May, due to which you were not able to locate the download link as soon as the order was approved."

Dominic and Vincent, I'm so jealous ...

Re: Adobe Announces Production Premium CS6

When I first read that people had already started receiving emails about the upgrade, I was upset I had not received one yet. After a bit of searching, I found the FAQ regarding the complimentary upgrade. (2 separate pages for copies of 5.5 bought from Adobe, and copies bought from resellers) According to it, it could take up to 10 days from the first day of shipping (May 7) to receive the email. It also said that North America and a few other areas would only receive downloadable upgrades, while everywhere else would get DVDs sent to them. (Wish I could remember the links)
So I wait and see...
