Premiere Pro CS4: Project won't open after rendering

I have two recent projects that are multicam 3x AVCHD PF30 projects. The video is synced via PluralEyes.

When I run a render on one of them and then open the project back up, it hangs infinitely while trying to load the most recent sequence.

I can import the sequence I need into a new project, but I lose the multicam switching, and the new project is broken after the first render.

I've cleaned up temporary files.

The project files are located on a separate workstation connected via a 1 Gbps network.

Has anyone run into this problem? I'd really like to get these done, but this issue is holding me back.
