Workflow tip?
 

Hi guys,

Yesterday I directed a 3 minute music video and ended up with like 30 shots from different angles. Since I shot in 2 different locations I decided that it would be easier to edit each location separately (instead of having 30 video tracks to edit on my laptop) and then edit the 2 resulting videos. What I´m wondering is which format to use when I export these 2 videos for editing. I was thinking of using the option "match sequence", which I would think should be more or less the same quality as the original files (shot with a Sony NEX7).

Questions:
- Is this format ok? (I don´t have cineform and I have my doubts my laptop will be able to handle a lossless format fluently)
- Should I export the 2 final videos CCed already?


P.S - I´ve already finished editing the first location and it took me like 2 days. Since I do this as a hobby I only have time during the weekends and maybe a couple of hours when I get back to work during the week. What I´m saying is I´m not going to go back and edit both locations together (other than the time it would take I had enough of a hard time editing 15 video tracks on a 15" laptop.

Based on my understanding of your post it sounds like you might benefit from nesting sequences rather than rendering and re-importing. Once the sequences are edited you can bring them into your final edit sequence and perform Color Correction (or export into AE). Here's a tutorial from Adobe about nesting: Adobe TV
