Looks suspicious to me. I wonder where does the serial number for CS5 come from...

Buyer BEWARE .... especially on "fleaBay". Your decision, but if it were me, I would buy only from a trusted retail store or Adobe themselves. I don't care if the eBay seller has a 100% rating; still wouldn't do it. I've purchased Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 software on "fleaBay" only to find it's a Developers version ... meaning the license expired on a certain date. Good luck if you decide to go for it. |
Re: Is this a good deal?
There is no Adobe retail store here.

Re: Is this a good deal?
It's CS5.5 with a CS6 upgrade. The seller has 2500+ transactions with 99% positive so I wouldn't be too worried.

Re: Is this a good deal?
If you're looking to get CS6 consider using the Adobe Creative Cloud. With this package, you'll get everything you need for a low monthly subscription price. The only negative is that sometimes I feel as though I know more about the software than the people helping me and thats scary.

Why do you not look at the Adobe website?

What's to prevent you from ordering and / or downloading it from Adobe? |
Re: Is this a good deal?
Adobe Creative Cloud is Adobe new online subscription service that allows prospective users to subscribe to the Creative Cloud. In doing so, the subscriber gets access to 17 of the Adobe products. I believe that if you are a student you can take advantage of this for only $19.99. If you're not sure, the offer a 30 day free subscription. It's really great and you get all of the updated software as it becomes available along with customer service. I'm thinking that they now offer this as a way to minimize the usage of pirated software.

Re: Is this a good deal?
And the intensly irritating fact that all countries outside of America are forced to pay 50% more for their Adobe products. I used to get the Student Teacher versions because I have run Photoshop workshops at our Photographic Society of New Zealand National Conventions, as well as other places, but decided to bite the bullet with CS5 and pay full price to get on the upgrade bandwagon. That was NZ$1800, but when CS6 came along, I still had to pay almost half that price for the upgrade, which was well over double the Student teacher price.
I also have Premiere Pro CS5 & CS6, and inDesign CS5 and After Effects CS6. You can understand why I, and folk like me, are less than impressed with Adobe’s International pricing policy. The Premiere Pro CS6 upgrade was far more sensibly priced, but hey, Adobe have proper competition in the NLE sector. |
Re: Is this a good deal?
quite frankly adobe is one of the last great rip-off distributors - having different pricing in different markets.
i'd simply find a student and get an academic deal (i teach, so i got the whole pb for $349AUS)*. alternatively, find someone in the us to buy it for you. i don't see anything wrong with the op's original ebay deal. * http://www.studentdiscounts.com.au/a...eacher+Windows |
