Export Codec From PremierePro Windows to iMovie?

I have an HDV project about 90 minutes long that I need to export from a PC for further editing in iMovie on a Mac. I find several Quicktime presets in Premiere Pro CS6, but I'm not sure which is best. I would like to give client an HD version as well as standard def. They want to make a DVD as well as post video on YouTube, etc.

The footage is basically A and B rolls of a concert the band wants to edit themselves. What do you suggest?

This may be helpful: Adobe Premiere Pro * Exporting projects for other applications

I don't know if iMac supports EDL, however.

Thanks! Good info. I'm not sure iMovie supports any of this. I exported AAF just to see what it looked like. I suppose I have to provide all the media files? Premiere only created a small file.

If I recall correctly, AAF is for Avid apps. Yes, the EDL (edit decision list) carries the edit info. You copy the clips it refers to.

The question will be having the codec that made the clips available on the Mac. The Mac HDV codec isn't available on the PC (except as a 3rd party plugin). So you may need to transcode your clips into something that the Mac will understand, if it can't open what you have.
