Better Project Managing in Premiere CS6

Problem: Premiere CS6 has trouble with Long GOP files when trying to Project Manage. Usually fails to trim resulting in larger Project Manages.

Solution: Found that in Premiere CS6 using Project Manager. Setting the trim handles from 30 to 100 allows us to Project Manage more accurately. The sequence was mostly Sony XDCam material with a mix of DVCProHD, ProRes footage. The project went from 507gb to 10gb. We are still testing other scenarios/codecs, would like to find out if it works for others.

After Effects Projects via Dynamic Link will be excluded from the Project Manage. After Effects has its own process of collecting files to preserve its media for projects.

Thought I would share, feel free to share other results/findings.

Thanks
