Premiere CS6 on Mac connecting headphones question
HEEEEY YOOOOUUU GGGUUUUUUYYYYYYSSSSSSS!!!
I had a question that is driving me nuts. I am editing on a Mac Pro with Premiere CS6 and I have the cinema display with the speakers built in. I edit in a small office so sometimes I just like to wear my headphones while cutting, this prevents the people near me from going nuts. When I plug in the headphones I always have to go to the audio options and choose built in line out... otherwise it's pointless to plug in the headphones. Then when I unplug I have to switch back. I have chosen just about every option and while not a deal breaker it's just annoying. When I want it to use the speakers in the monitor I have to choose "Display Port" Am I missing something? Thanks! J |
Re: Premiere CS6 on Mac connecting headphones question
I'm guessing your on-display speakers aren't giving you the quality you need in the first place. When I was an FCP editor my edit station was equipped with quality external speakers, that had a headphone outlet on them. Plugging in the phones muted the speakers. But the line out from the Mac stayed the same all the time. Best of both worlds, I suggest.
