Please help!! XP SP2 prompts PPro 1.5 reinstall. Will I loose everything??!

Hello all. Have searched but have not found answer to this one yet.
Should be fairly straight forward but the project is very important and I don't want to take any unnecessary risks.

-After upgrading to XP SP 2 - upon launch Premiere Pro 1.5 is asking me to reinstall. Options are to 'repair' -(which gets me nowhere) or to 'remove all installed components' and install from scratch.

Premiere install is on D:
Premiere save files/projects are on E:
If I "remove all installed components" and then reinstall on D:, will some of the information that links/organises my current project be lost? or is it all in this project folder on the E: drive?

I need to be able to reinstall Premiere pro 1.5 and pick up where I left off on my current project.

Please help.

Thanks in advance

Anthony.

I don't know about Premeire Pro but I have uninstalled and reinstalled versions 5.1c on my big NLE and 6.5 on my laptop and didn't lose anything. I was scared to death the first time I had to do it a few years ago but it fixed the problem and I didn't lose any projects or settings. Did you try the reset option first. You may not have to uninstall to fix your issue if you perform a reset.

Thanks,

Yes, removing and reinstalling was the only option remaining.

I went through with it this morning - without a glitch. All Premiere 'system' componenets were removed, and all projects were left unscathed.

Once I reinstalled Premiere, it even intuitively relinked to the projects.
All's well that ends well.
