Capturing a "feed"

Does anyone have any ideas or experience with the following situation...

I've got my camera connected to my computer via firewire and I turn it on. I can capture a feed from the camera, but I need to be able to pause the capture and then continue capturing...

The application is for a baseball game. I want to be able to take out the dead time but end up with one file...anyone know how to do this?

Thanks,

Rick

Is there a reason you dont want to capture a series of separate files and then simply join them afterwards?

I'm thinking that a baseball game is going to be a huge file, and your pc may have issues with opening it. Anybody else have the same thought?

DVRack will do that..

Disable Camera Controls DVRack

Then when you want to pause your recording, click pause in DVRack on the Laptop.. Then when you want to pick it back up hit Record.. I'd be careful about the 2GB limit and the type of Codec.. Better have a big drive...

OR

Just use a Firestore Direct to Disk Recorder..
