Where are the Serious Magicians?

Disappointing to find no responses from Serious Magic personnel to two posts I have put up and several from other people. Until recently they always seemed so keen to help.

I appreciate that this isn't the SM official support forum but they always seemed so quick to respond in the past that I thought this was as good a place as any to post my questions (and hopefully, with a response from SM, to benefit other DV-Rack users in the DVi community).

The last post by anyone from SM was October 6th, a week ago. Have they left us for good?

We've been busy testing the new update! Which, I'm happy to say, went live this evening. DV Rack 2.1 fixes the 1GB memory issue, among other things. For a complete list of all fixes, please check the Serious Magic website.

To get the update, open DV Rack, click on Help-Check for Updates. DV Rack will automatically download and install the update.

Looks like they've been really busy lately.

Yeah, REALLY busy!

It'll be very interesting to see where onward product development goes or whether the existing CM technology will be merged with Adobe's offerings.

I'm never sure whether to feel happy or sad in these cases of the little guy selling up to the big guy. It kinda signals the end of any personal touch service which is always a shame.

Anyway, good luck to them. They have a couple of great products, DV-Rack in particular, and they deserve whatever personal success they gain out of this.

Congratulations Serious Magic with the deal!
My only hope is that Adobe will give you the freedom to continue developing the great products you made before. Please keep the personal touch indeed.

No way to tell at this point. It will probably still be a good product though.
