Importing with the XH A1.... at DVinfo.net

Is there any drivers I need to make it work. I am using Premiere pro. 2.0 and it keeps freezing up on me. I downloaded and installed the hdv 24f plug in but i was wondering if there was anything else. Everything in this manual has 2 pages for everything but to import to your computer, there's less than a paragraph.

Moved to the World Premiere from Canon XH.
