Exporting stills

Hi, every time I export a still from my 16:9 timeline I have to use photoshop to correct its pixel format to 16:9 Pal wide screen, but in Liquid edition I never had to do this, is there a setting somewhere I need to change to export them while still maintaining the 16:9 pixel aspect.

Thanks
Paul

You have two choices. Export as 720X576 using a widescreen Pixel Aspect Ratio, or figure out the proper size and export as square pixels. (1024X576)

Thanks steven, were do I get the option to pick this from as I remember now liquid was square pixel selection, a small box I had to tick.

The advantages of two monitors. I do it and then write it without closing or moving any windows. :-)

Ctrl-Shift-M should bring up a dialog box. Click on the Settings button.

Select the file type in the General settings, then switch to the Video settings. You should see the way to select that over on the left hand side of the window. Just click on Video.

Set the frame size to 1024X576 and the Pixel Aspect Ratio to Square.

Or...... set the frame size to 720X576 and choose DV/PAL Widescreen 1.422

Your choice. You didn't say what you were planning to do with the still.

Thanks Steven,

I want the stills for the start credits on weddings.

Then that makes it easy. Set the frame size to 720X576 and choose DV/PAL Widescreen 1.422.

You may need to set the frame options to Flicker Removal.

So, if 720x576 is suitable for start/end credits for a video project......what can 1024x576 be used for?

Print? Working with 3rd party programs that can not handle non-square pixels like Photoshop can.
