Dropped Frames Error

for some reason i am getting this error for 6.5. never happened before and nothing has really changed. my hardrives have alot of space. anyone know what i should check? is it definitely matrox related?

Its normally harddrive related.

Check for defragmentation.
Check Drive read and write speeds are fast enough
Are you running in raid at all?
Maybe a drive has developed errors (run 'chkdsk' on all your drives)

Do you have any apps running in the back? i.e. Google desktop search, antivirus etc?

Any clues in event viewer?
