Premiere 2.0 problem... getting frustrating... HELP!
Hello, all!
I use Lightwave 3D 8.2 a lot... and every time I import a movie file from Lightwave into Premiere that has a motionless background, Premiere automatically removes the background... HORRIBLY. The edges of what remain look terrible. What's worse... I don't know how to turn this feature off! I am not sure how I will be able to finish this project I am working on if I don't resolve this! HELP!!! Thanks in advance, Daniel |
Oh, and one more thing: Contrary to what my subtitle says, I am not a Tourist! LOL! I am here to stay. : )

Stop exporting the Alpha channel if you don't want it used. Premiere Pro sees it and uses it automatically.
|
How would I do that? Would it be in the render settings, or the codec settings? I can't find it...
Thanks for the response. |
I don't know LW but with swift 3D, exporting as an uncompressed jpg gives me a solid BG. png, tiff and the like give me an alpha channel.
|
Some programs would call it "Millions of Colors" and "Millions of Colors +" (note the plus sign indicating the alpha channel).
By the way, your files will be smaller if you eliminate the alpha channel. |
Thanks, all! We are rendering now... I will let you all know how it turns out.
