Wireless Handheld for A1U

Trying to spec a quality wireless handheld system for use with a Sony HVR-A1U. Budget is between $500-$1000. This system will be used for "man on the street" type interviews by people who know nothing about recording, mixing, or editing, so intuitiveness and ease of use are paramount. I don't have much location or recording experience; I do mainly post for radio/TV, and the only wireless systems I've worked with in the past have been Sennheisers. I've looked at the Sennheiser EW 135PG2 and it seems like its in the ballpark for what I need: lightweight, portable receiver, transmitter attached to mic, not too complicated... Anybody have any experience with this unit or any suggestions as to what might work for my situation? BTW, thanks in advance for the dv resources here on this page...had a question as soon as I stumbled upon it!

The Sennheiser MD46 sounds very nice passing wireless through the Evolution G2 series. Listen to this interview.

That's the MD46, you can see it in the frame. Note the low noise and clarity of the system hooked up to a Canon XL2.
