Steve did a truly great job. Here's the deal. Unless you hear the difference a Schoeps cmc641 makes, you have no idea what it means. Every time I let someone hear one of my Schoeps, it totally changes their point of view. And somehow, they find the money. It's really quite fascinating.

BTW, the go to "replacement" for the schoeps -- and no, it isn't as good, is NOT the oktava mc012, it's the Audix SCX-1.
