Sound file not sounding too good?

Hello all!

I have a dumb question here. I have edited a sound file using Audacity. The file sounds great in Audacity. I then export the file as a WAV file so I can burn it in Media Player. The problem is that the file sounds really sharp when I play it in the Media Player.

This kind of has me baffled! Any pointers?

Thanks
Lowell

Define "sharp".

If by "sharp" you mean as in pitch-shifted up, as opposed to musical "flat," it sounds like it may have been recorded at one sample rate, such as 44.1k, but is playing back at another, higher, rate like 48k.
