bag for Eng-44
 

I'm thinking this is a pretty simple question-

I've seen pictures of the bag that's apparently custom made for the Eng-44 mixer. It looks like it doesn't have a lot of extra pockets for batteries, wireless receivers, etc. Maybe they aren't apparent in the pictures I've seen.

Can anyone recommend some other bags for this mixer? I looked at some kata bags, but obviously I'd like one big enough to fit the mixer. But I wonder I don't want one too larger than the mixer, otherwise it would bump around a lot in the bag?

Petrol small audio organizer. forget its number, PEG-1 I think, but it has all sorts of pads, straps, and velcro dividers to hold everything very nicely in place. its totally configureable - things like double zippers so you can route wires out of the corners. you'll spend a good hour just figuring this bag out for all its options :) you can adjust the front handle height, or even pull it down into the bag, removable rain cover - with zipper holes for wireless antenna, it has a battery compartment for master battery system, even the angle of the straps that hold the bag can be moved. headphones will store in the front of the bag, and since you can route the wire thur the bag,you never really remove them from the setup. truly incredible piece of gear.

You may want to check out the cases below. I have the smaller version for my SD-302. The velcro sides give easy access to all ports on the sides and provide cable strain relief. In addition, the mixer hangs from velcro straps inside the top of the case. The clear flaps also double as moisture guards.

I bought a ENG 44 last year. The porta Brace MXC-442 fits the ENG perfectly with no shifting around. Has mixer case, wireless mic case, detachable pocket for headphones or whatever and shoulder strap. The bag is made for the Sound Devices 442 mixer. Works great. Used it for short film earlier this year.
