AKG 40 PRO Wireless good for professional work???

Hello,

We have for audio equipment:

The TX: AKG PT 40 Pro, the RX: UHF PR 40

Mic is C417

The RX only has one dial which is for volume.

Are they (tx's, rx's and mic's) up for professional sound and work? Is it strange what happend or this units are not too good?

I ask these questions because we had many problems detail in this thread: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=111045 (in this one I'm mainly looking for solutions to rescue sound in post, now I would like to know why it happend--I already got some info--, how to avoid it, and if there's a flaw on the units or in the use).

I would also would like advice on how to use wireless (what to look, avoid...) to avoid sound problems as much as possible and recomendations on better brand, model for wireless that is up for professional work and that it has reasonable price (the wireless set we have right now cost us around 700 euros).

Thanks in advance.
