WMA use in Final Cut Pro
I'm trying to edit a video, using some audio that was recorded in WMA format. For some reason when I try to import into FCP, the audio ends up a bit muffled/jumbled/"jerky". Does anyone know why that would happen or how to correct it? When I open the file with Quicktime it sounds just fine, and rerendering doesn't help.

Transcode the WMA to an AIFF and your woes will go away.

How do I go about doing that? I've found transcoding in my manual...but it doesn't explain how to do it...only what it does.

The easiest way to transcode audio is to use Quicktime Pro - which you already own as a registered owner of FInal Cut Pro.
Open Quicktime from Applications. OPEN the WMA file. Save out to AIFF. Done. |
