6 track recording, how to obtain a 5.1 encoded track

I do multitrack recording I use nuendo as daw system, how can i get an encoded 5.1 track to sync to video and to burn a standard video dvd 5.1?

Hello David,

The 5.1 on most DVDs is Dolby Digital or Dolby Surround. You need a software or hardware encoder to multiplex your individual tracks into one stream.

I think Holophone makes an encoder, but I also think I recall that the inputs are all mic level.

There are other solutions, but I think they cost more.

Regards,

Ty Ford

i wonder about how is the set up on video post production, (sorry forr bad writing), i guess we going to see on the screen a video file, with a stereo wav audio and an encoded 5.1 audio file, all are exported as dvd video?

Since you're using Nuendo, investigate Steinberg's Dolby Digital and DTS Encoder add-ins for Nuendo.
