Wind buffeting

We hit a perfect storm on a wedding shoot and had to rely on a backup lav that was sporatically buffeted by wind for the groom's vows. I know this is the hardest audio to fix, but knowing we *have* to use it, what can I do to it in FCS2?

Must have been outdoors? Depending on the denomination/length/shot etc once the groom reappears try some DR not ADR. What about the brides vows?

Cheers.

If you can't cut the noise without losing the vows you've got a pickle - had one like this recently myself, luckily I was able to use the volume envelope in vegas to get a usable level and reduce the noise floor between "dialog".

I'd agree that a looping session with the B&G (and what about the officiant... that could be trouble?) might be necessary.

Wind noise is a PITA... with an outdoor wedding, it presents quite a problem.

EQing some low-end out can "sometimes" salvage a take.

I've got the EQ helping out, and had to add some gain because much of the EQ had to be turned down. Do I need to do something to cut the intensity of the wind blasts, which are much louder than the preacher?
