Olympus DS50

Hello,
I need to record conversations between two persons in the field. I want to do that with 2 sound recorders connected both to a lav, rather than step into the wireless set-up world. I have tried a Zoom H2 with a Hama LM-09 (selfpowered, 1,5 V), but that does not give enough high signal. I wonder if somebody tried the Olympus DS30,40 or 50 with a lav? These have detachable stereo mics, so I suppose you can easily replace them by a lav.
