AT-822 & PG2 Pistol Grip Shock mount
 

Hi,

Before I drop the $$, I was just wondering if these two items are a good match:

AT-822

Specs:

7.76" (197.0 mm) long,
2.44" (62.0 mm) maximum head width,
0.83" (21.0 mm) body diameter

Used in conjunction with:

RØDE PG2 Pistol Grip Shock Mount

Seems like it should work... Do you see anything wrong with the above combo (I already own the mic)?

It seems like it should work. If the mic is too narrow, just wrap it with some gaff tape, and it should fit snugly in the mount.

Micky, I have both items and the AT822 is a very tight fit in the 21/22mm PG2 suspensions. It won't fit the 19/20mm. Carefully align the mics stereo head with the handle.

After each session I'd remove the AT822 to prevent distorting the suspensions.

I was out the other day with the AT-822/R-09HR and I am loving the quality of sound... My only complaint is that my hand bones/joints were audible. I am hoping the PG2 helps alleviate some of those unwanted noises.
