Pro line level to consumer line level

I need to connect a line level +4 dBu from my mixer to a RCA jack on a prosumer recorder. I guess I'll need some type of pad. How much attenuation will I need? Do I need some sort of matching box or can I get some type of in line attenuator?

Should be a difference of 14dB. 15 or 20 dB pad and associated cabling should do it.

You might find this useful, works in both directions: Amazon.com: MB15 Promatch Converter: Musical Instruments

Pro level is +4dBu, and consumer is -10dBV. Oddly, since they're in different units, it's actually a 11.55dB (~12dB) difference. Just a small detail.

A 15dB pad would work just fine.
