mic wiring?

have me66 happily working on phantom, and e100 wireless.

would like to conect me66 to wireless pack via mini jack.

a. how would i wire it?

b. presumably would have to use battery since there's no phantom from e100?

The ME66/K6 combo we have takes a battery and has high output
for a microphone. The bad news is that your wireless transmitter
is probably looking for line level input, NOT mic level.
However, as I said, your mic has very high
output, so you'll can try to make a cable.
Female XLR to 1/8" (mono? It depends on how the transmitter is wired)

XLR has three pins (1-2-3). Pin 2 is the 'hot' and needs to be wired
to the 'tip' of the 1/8" male. 3 is the 'common' and needs to go to either
the 'ring' Pin 1 is the ground (if stereo 1/8").
Or if the transmitter wants mono, take pin 3 and 1 (wires)
and solder both of those to the ground.

This may work, or it may not. Like I said, that transmitter wants -10db line
level and your mic is outputting something like -50db to -30db.

I think that Sennheiser makes a transmitter that plugs into a mic, so
you may need to buy that.

will try your wiring....

don't really want to spend on a seperate transmitter for the 66 mike as the setup is really for just one shot in a doco.

just to recap.

xlr pin 2 > tip (mini jack)

3 > body
1 > body

will give it a whirl...

many thanks, leslie
