Cheapest Wireless Mic path for my DVX100a-
 

Hello all. Well I don't normally go for the cheapest anything, but I have a possible job coming up for a few months (just to fill time before my move from NC to CA) which requires a wireless mic setup. It will consist of a real estate talent of some sort speaking in front of the camera about houses with the final product to be streaming video on the web so quality isn't crucial, just that it's audible, fairly clear and the mic system wont break down on me. What's the cheapest route here? I honestly never plan to use the wireless system for anything other than this as I have numerous shotgun mics and normally only do fictional films and music videos so I'm not too worried about quality down the road. I again just need to get some "wireless sound" as is listed required in the job post. What do you guys think?

If the real estate person is standing still while you are panning from him/her to the house (or room if you're inside), then why go wireless. Get a lav with a longer cord and stay attached for clear audio.

And I think you may have it backwards about how good the sound quality needs to be since you're going to stream the video/audio. On stuff I've had to stream and thus compress more than I really wanted to, if the sound was off a little uncompressed, it was nearly unintelligible when squeezed down for streaming. I haven't done this in about 18 months though so there may be something that will do a better job now (but I'd venture to say that a high caliber compression tool might run more than the cost of capturing good audio.

Hopefully someone here can chime in that's had recent experience streaming video.

I don't think the wireless pricepoint you're considering for this work will qualify as "Wireless Experience".

XLR? it seems that one is stereo mini.

Renting I think would be out because I'd have to rent most of the week for 3 months.......
