Audio problem... SOUND/VIDEO Inside

Hey guys...

Please look at this small video clip.

Do you hear the noise problem?

What is that?

I've noticed it a few times when I'm out shooting...

Using Sony HDR-FX1 and a Sennheiser MKE300 mic

It's at the very beginning of the clip

Thanks so much!

it's definitely some sort of interference. i believe the MKE300 uses an unbalanced audio connection. i've heard something similar on one of my recordings when i was using an unbalanced audio connection and someone called me on my cell phone (the ringer was off). i noticed that when i walked away from the camera just a couple of feet, the noisy interference disappeared. i know that's not much help, but hope it gives you some clues.

in any case, good luck.

You're right... it's possible it was my cel-phone...

I had the ringer off... but it was in my pocket...

When I am in the car... and my phone ringer is off.... if I get a call... I can hear wierd inteference like this on the radio.

I just never put 2+2 together...

THANKS!

I know that sound. Definitely your cell phone. I hear that every day at work from one on a desk behind my speakers. A cell phone will also cause Sony's Optical Image Stabilization to go crazy.

George,

Thanks for that. I hadn't heard it before. Nextel phones are horrendous by comparison, but a blown take is a blown take.

Yes, definately a cell phone.
I get that exact sound through using an MK 300D Microphone.
