Two Tracks
 

I am using the GL2 this Saturday for a wedding. I will also be using the Audio-Tech ATR-288W wireless Lavaliere Mic. Here is my question: The GL2 has two audio tracks (I think). but when I record with the 288W mic it only records on one track. Is there anyway I can use both tracks to record form the 288W mic?

I believe that receiver has a mono output jack, so you'd need the correct cable to send that mono signal into both channels of the GL2's stereo jack.
Describe the cable you are using now for this connection. How many contacts does it have on each end?
Even with the correct cable, you'll still just get two copies of the mono signal from the receiver. If you want to record a second source to the camera simultaneously you'll need an additional adapter.

Assuming you were inserting a 1/8" plug into the camera when it recorded only one channel, here's the easiest and cheapest solution for recording the signal in both channels:

i assume you'll be editing the thing. when you capture just capture the left channel. or capture both tracks and delete the right from your timelne. in your nle, depending what you're using, just open up the good audio track and pan it to center. now it'll come out of both speakers.

This actually works ... be sure to test in advance. The mini plug mono to stereo out has trouble staying connected. Some of the handyman's best friend might be required.

I'd do what Nate suggested - in Vegas you just right click the audio clip and select "left channel only" after laying it on the timeline.

Although if I ware you I'd mount another mic on the camera and direct it to your other channel using an adaptor, that way you've got two tracks from different locations as the lav will only pickup sound close to it. Then when you edit, split the left and right channels each to it's own mono track and mix well. If it's a multi cam shoot or you are recording to an iriver or something this might not be so relevant.
