DXA-8 and a minidisc recorder

Hello
I searched the forum and didnt find an answer. SO will the DXA-8 work with a minidisc recorder? Will there be grounding problems?

Thanks
Jason

I'll bet you'll be fine. The only problem I can think of would be the plug-in-power from the minidisc. I would assume the DX-8 has voltage blocking capaciters. The passive XLR adapter that we use has them anyway.

You should be fine, depending on how sensitive the MiniDisc input is. The DXA-8 doesn't put out line-level, just very hot mic-level signals.
As for grounding issues, that can happen with almost any combination of equipment. I don't think you'd be any worse off with this combo, and the DXA-8 has a two-position grounding switch. This should take care of most situations and should be checked anytime you use different mics or other components. Sometimes it's quieter to switch it, sometimes worse.
