[cs4] Premiere to Soundbooth usage tips & workflow?

Hi,

I do not use Soundbooth on my video projects... Not sure if I should or need to.

With that said, I am looking to expand my horizons, and hone my audio/video skills.

Questions:

How do you utilize Soundbooth to make your final video projects say "pro"?

For example, are there any filters you apply to your final edit in order for it to sound perfect?

Also, how is the workflow? There are times where I need to make a quick edit, which means the workflow needs to be fast and painless... Does SB add any pain to your workflow?

Many thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Micky

Your post is so general its hard to give any meaningful advice. What type of video are you shooting and what you're trying to achieve should be the starting point. Its always best to do most of you work recording the best possible audio because its difficult to impossible to fix problems in post. Voice overs are often sweeten in post by adding bass and/or adding a slight delay to one of the channels, creating space.

Hi Pete!

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate your help. :)

Sorry if my post was vague. Many thanks for those tips too! I like that idea of adding space to one of the channels... Very interesting. I will have to play around with that.

I think it would probably be best for me to buy a book and/or purchase a Lynda CD... In other words, I probably should have read the manual before asking ya'll for help.

Thanks for the tips!

Cheers,
Micky
