Z5 XLR and internal mic

Hi everybody,

I'm looking to purchase a wireless system for Sony Z5. I'm debating between 1 or 2 receivers. If I were to plug both receivers into inputs 1 and 2 will the internal mic be disabled or still act as shotgun type mic to pic up surrounding sounds?

Thx for any advice

Melvin

On the Z5 you set a switch to choose between XLR inputs or internal mic for each input. But choose you must.

In most instances you can't have multiple sources going to a single channel without an external mixer.

I'm debating between 1 or 2 receivers.... and only one transmitter?
If you would like the audio going to both channels, a 'Y' cable would be somewhat cheaper.
A single transmitter / two receiver set-up can be useful in feeding the same transmitter source to two separate cameras.
(However that does not work the other way around. Two transmitters / One receiver)
