External Mic for GL1 at DVinfo.net

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good (not great, meaning not too expensive) external mic for my Canon GL1. I am trying to slowly upgrade and add on to my equipement but the lack of bank account is making this rather difficult. Any help would be great.
