Zoom H4N USB mic

Hello.

I have the following problem:

When i record an audio with my zoom H4N and then store to my pc, or just listen the audio from the Zoom with headphones, its wonderfull, nothing bugs me, but today i wanted to use my H4N as a USB mic for a upcoming tutorial.

I did connect it to my pc and it did sound terrible.

The audio was with a delay, so i was constantly hearing an eco of my own woice, i had a lot of noice/crickets in the background, which i didnt had when recording the audio on zoom w/o the usb.
Botom line - the audio was a lot worse/grainy

Where is the problem?
Maybe there is something i can tweek in my pc's control panell? I dont think this is normal.

Looking for suggestions please.

p.s
I have PC.

Re: Zoom H4N USB mic

Try reading up on the subject of the ASIO driver and lowering the latency here:
ZOOM

Sorry can't tell you more as I'm only aware of it, haven't tested it.

Re: Zoom H4N USB mic

Hehe.

A lot better. Thank you.

Still hearing some hissing tho, but i think that's just my pc being loud.

One thing i found weird was that i could only hear audio trought my zoom h4n. Both the pc noises, for example, a mp3 playing on my pc was streeemed not trought my headphones but trought zoom H4N, and also all the live audio went trought H4N as well.

My headphones going into the pc were mute.

How can i fix it.

This wasnt a problem beffor the update.

Beffor the update i heard everything trought my headphones conncected to the pc, mp3 and live audio.

Re: Zoom H4N USB mic

The problem above got solved.

But the problem im having now is:

When i connect my Zoom H4N as usb interface and use it for my tutorials, it picks up a lisp.

Like whenever i say something with "S" in it or similar it kinda stretches the SSssss and it sounds as if i had a lisp or some speeking disorder, but when i disconect it from USB and record the sound on H4N batery power all sounds good and clear.

I record the audio via usb trought Camtasia studio( for tutorials)

Also, zoom always is quiet trough any screenrecorder device.
If i record the audio on bateries and play it it sounds fine, but when i put the file in Vegas i can hear it normaly only on full volume. And the audio peeks below the video in Vegas ar so small, i cant line it up with my videos, cause the peeks are so little.

It wasnt like that some 4 months ago when i was making a video. But now its like this.
