buzz from Senn G2 radio mic kit

I use the kit a lot and mostly it's superb, but sometimes(with no changes to settings/channels etc. at all) I get a buzzing right through the recording. what could this be? interference?
also, sometimes I get short static-type noise like if you dialled slightly away from a radio station and then back quickly - sorry for my lack of the correct lingo, does this make sense?!

Did you check the frequency charts to make sure that you wern't using a frequency that was in use by someone/something else?

Other than that - the only other think I could think of is a bad antenna.

Did you try an AutoScan first to make sure no one was using the channel? Click below to watch a tutorial in QuickTime format on how to do an autoscan. It may help if you can jump to another frequency that is not near one that is causing the interference.
Jump over to the UK frequency finder on Sennheiser's site at http://www.sennheiser.com/
