Olympus DS-30, how much adjustment needed to sync with video
I am using the above recorder, anyone know what percentage I need to slow up or speed up the audio from it to more closely match video?

Jeff,
I have two of them and they are both different. I think you are using Vegas Pro like I am. What I do is find a common point at the beginning between the camera audio and the DS-30 audio and line that up, trim the start of the DS-30 audio to this point, then find a common point at the end of the audio, then trim the end of the DS-30 to this point and then stretch( cntrl+click) the DS-30 audio to align with the camera audio. You can then expand the DS-30 audio back out at the beginning and end and it will stay in sync. It sounds more complicated than it is to do it and once you've done it a time or two it becomes second nature. |

Jim, the method you descibe makes perfect sense and I will try it. I'm sure it will work. Thanks a ton!

Jim I have seen thread after thread about this subject but your commonsense method is stupidly simple and effective, takes no time.
Thanks again. |

Glad I could help. This board has taught me so much, it's my pleasure to add to it if it helps in any way.
