Performance differences between Senn Lav EW 112P G3-A/B

I'm looking to invest in a pair of Sennheiser EW 112P G3s, and notice that on B&H / Amazon, they both have the Sennheiser EW 112P G3-A and Sennheiser EW 112P G3-B. The comments section don't really talk about performance differences between either of them. I was wondering if there was a difference between these two microphones, besides the frequency range that they operate on. If I were to get a pair of "B"s, they'd work fine together, assuming both were placed on different frequencies, of course. Just wondering if there's any benefit to getting a set of As and a set of Bs.

Other than frequency range covered there is no difference. Senn makes the various models so you can pick frequency ranges that will have minimum interference from other services in the area where you're working.

That's what I figured was the case. Wasn't sure if there were any sort of performance differences besides that.

Because there aren't any.

They make three frequency blocks (A, B, and G) available in NA for a reason though. And that reason is so that you can match your wireless mics to the environment you're going to be using them in. Find the least congested block where you are, and buy your mics for that block. Won't eliminate interference, but reducing the amount is always a good thing.

There's a mapping function on the Sennheiser website to help you find a better fit. IIRC all you have to do is give it your zip code.

Thank you. I gave them a call and they recommended B or G. For anyone in the mid-Missouri area, as in Columbia... that's your best bet.
